People who say "The only good one is a dead one..." No matter what reptile, insect, animal or fish they are referring to, it just makes me really sad to be part of the human race. They all have a purpose and most are more beneficial to the planet than they are harmful to people.

Some people consider me strange because I won't kill rattlesnakes on my land, or anywhere else, for that matter. They say "What if you or your dog get bitten?" My answer: "Then I guess we got too close, didn't we?" Once bitten, twice warned.

You're correct Alice. God has made everything and everyone for a reason. Right after I ask why everything that tastes good is fattening I might have to ask Him if Noah really needed to find 2 mosquitoes?

With a puzzled look and arms in the air, I'm waiting for those answers as well......

I don't kill anything unless it is suffering then I get my DH, lol. All animals are part of nature and they are here for a purpose. They do what they need to do and mostly leave people alone.

Now don't get me started on people. People should know better in many instances and we don't kill them.

I have to confess that I killed a wasp yesterday. It had managed to enter the house and hubby being highly allergic, it was either the wasp or him. So I chose him.
I won't kill animals unless necessary, like yesterday.

Black widow spiders? Slugs? Flies? Mosquitos? Cockroaches???

Sorry, I am certainly against violence and killing but in third world countries, mosquitos carrying disease can kill thousands...

Alice, there are some exceptions to that, and I'm sure many will agree, like "The only good cockroach is a dead cockroach".
