I remember HOwdy Doody and a kids' show called Romper Room. Years later, when color TV started, we couldn't afford one, but we got a screen that you put over the tv - the top third of the screen was red, the middle yellow and the bottom green. Why anyone fell for that thing and put it on their tv was beyond me, even at that young age!
