Nowadays, we have complete garbage coming from the minds of the advertising agencies. Does anyone like the caveman commercials from Geico? The annoying nasally woman who does 1-800-DENTIST?? The phony rock god "White Gold" advertising milk - I can't stand any of them!
Has anyone else noticed the shift in how they are marketing their junk to us lately? It seems like before, there was an effort to emphasize brand recognition with catchy slogans and fun(ny) songs - now all I can think of along the lines of advertisements of today is how much I am repulsed by them.

I love those old jingles and can remember a lot of them..
"I can't believe I ate the WHOLE thing" - alka seltzer . This was even featured on t-shirts and mini-posters.
"Everythings better with Blue Bonnet on it"
"When it has Libby's, Libby's, Libby's on the label, label, label
you will love it, love it, love it
on your table, table, table"
Remember Cokes's annual Christmas commercials?
"I'd like to teach the world to sing
in per-fect harmony..."
And the one with the line of holiday lighted Coke trucks winding through a dark highway.
At work, someone will start part of a jingle with the rest of us chiming in or trying to remember. I agree it seems they spent a lot more time making a product memorable.
