People who post a question on this or some other forum when they could get an answer just by googling it. I don't understand why people are looking for opinions when the facts are so close at hand...

I would like to hear other people's success stories or their 'don't do this, whatever you may have read' or tips from people who might have opinions I value.

I have asked questions here before and gotten googled answers, but I would rather know what YOU think!

Isnt the point of a forum so that people can ask questions and not just have people doing random ramblings ? Besides, if its asked here when people Google there is a good chance hey will pull up CD forums and we will get new members too.

I wasn't clear.

People are asking things that are not opinion-based. An example of a non-opinion-based question is: "Is there a hospital in or near Raleigh?" The fact that they posted the question indicates they have access to a computer. Putting "hospital in Raleigh" in a google search would net an answer in seconds rather than waiting for people to respond - often from people who simply google it. I saw one too many such questions which brought me to today's pet peeve.

If it is not urgent then why not ask in a forum ? Its a community and people just post to spark up conversations with people.

I've thought the same thing at times but I still help them out. Oops I also asked one the other day. Sometimes is nice if someone from CD has the answer. It's quicker than sifting through pages on Google.
