I went though this last week. A relative of my wife asked me about switching from AOL to DSL. By the time I was finished I was sitting in a room full of glazed over eyes. My wife (also a geek) waited me out then said, "Have you met my husband the geek?"

I see these people every few years. For funerals.

Gulp.

On the plus side: They are all really good people. Laughter all around to my wifes comment.
Oh youre one of those. No I dont do that. LOL. Im more like have you ever considered.................. For example one of my clients gave me this black wrought iron hanging lamp to get rid of.. I said you know if you paint that white and turn it upside down it would make a really neat planter. She said how did you see that as she snatched it back. I said you didnt?

Nah. I dont think we're clones. You sound like a linear thinker. I am not. I drive people crazy. Ill be discussing one thing and all of a sudden this randon thought pops up out of nowhere. I could be discussing how to plant Petunias when all of a sudden it occurs to me if I paint this that color and move this over there then I can.........

I resemble that remark!

BTW, how's that herding job working out? And I don't think you would unless I offered to clean your ears...

I inherited my Moms cats when she passed away this March. All 17 of them. Since I already had a few wood pile cats of my own I think I qualify as a cat herder now. Good thing I live in the country.

Im not sure what you think I would but it doesnt matter anyway. I dont let strange men clean my ears.

I wondered about that one. A reference to giving up a dead mouse and being a cat....

You know whats so funny and kind of sad about people who THINK they know it all, they are probably trying to project that image in order to cover up the reality they are pretty insecure about not knowing enough.

Sadly I run into them WAY too often.
