----- Cardinal, Dad from Missoure. Cardinal baseball is a religion.
Montreal Canadiens, nearly all players were Quebec batives, I admired that.
San Antonio Spurs were a special kind of unit.
I understood that about Mtl and SA only when exposed locally. Neither are true anymore.
NFL, root for a team with players I like, year to year. Don't even know who is in the SB this year..
LSU, alma mater.

----- I like going to games in NY, they know sports, not just Homers.

1) Did you play a sport in high school? Which one(s)? All of them in gym. Volleyball after school. My team was called The Pacemakers. Then I got an after-school job and couldn't do it anymore.
2) What's your favorite sport to play nowadays? Politics.
3) What's your favorite sport to watch? Don't watch any these days but it used to be NHL ice hockey.
4) Do you root for a team with which you have no geographical connection (past or present)? If so, what's the attraction of that team? I used to collect Sutter memorabilia (6 brothers in the NHL from Alberta, Canada, two of which were on my team, the NY Islanders) so I also rooted for the teams the other 4 brothers were on when they weren't playing the Islanders (Chicago, St Louis and Philadelphia). Duane Sutter was my favorite followed by Darryl Sutter in Chicago. Duane was traded to Chicago after helping the Islanders win 4 Stanley Cups in a row. When I was under 18, I used to root for The NY Yankees (MLB) and any other team Billy Martin managed like the Oakland A's.

1) Did you play a sport in high school? Which one(s)? - Not on the high school team but I played a lot of baseball and later softball when I was younger.
2) What's your favorite sport to play nowadays? - I play the horses sometimes, if that counts. Too old to be actually playing a sport but I did go bowling about 4 years ago.
3) What's your favorite sport to watch? - Tie between horse racing and women's college basketball.
