Today’s Questions:
If you were being interviewed for a job and they asked you what your strongest qualities are, what would you say?
I am punctual, dependable, have a good attendance record, and have strong personable skills in dealing with people.
What would you tell them your weakest qualities are?
Procrastination I suppose
What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why?
Taking my beloved kitty Molly to the vet to be put to sleep, she was dying and in horrible pain and agony,
it was heartbreaking and one of the hardest things that I have ever done...saying good bye to her like that.(She was very elderly and we had had her for a very long time also...she was about to turn 20)

What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Why?
Go on a road trip maybe
Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them?
Mostly look forward to them....but we believe in pretty low key, non-commercialized Holidays.
When I worked retail it was more dread!!! People kind of go crazy....and they can get desperate and cranky
(But it was kind of fun at times too, because a few people are in better spirits)
I enjoy sharing a cup of coffee or eggnog with loved ones and sharing dinners with them on the Holidays though.

Do you send cards, and if so, how many?
Haven't done that in decades....use to send out two or three box fulls.
Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial?
My husband put up two small trees (artificial)a wreath, a Christmas village and some snowmen figurines.
Sometimes he decorates the outside, but not this year.
We use to get a real tree, decorate inside and out when my
Son was little, but everyone is grown now, so it just seems like too much work really....so we do
less is more.
(As far as Christmas goes my Hubby was always the big decorator...sometimes going a bit overboard, but you would only have to take a look at his late Parents house at Christmas...you would think Santa Claus and Mrs Claus lived there!)

Thanks Bay! Hope all is well with you and Mr. Bay!

Today’s Questions:
If you were being interviewed for a job and they asked you what your strongest qualities are, what would you say?
I never liked those kinds of interview questions. Strongest? Look at my record and references.
What would you tell them your weakest qualities are?
Ditto, never liked. Never had a good answer. I'm supposed to talk myself down? An opportunity for false modesty?
What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why?
Root canal. It was unpleasant and expensive and led to an expensive crown.
What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Why?
Travel freely. Am a bit stuck by obligations at present.
Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them?
I certainly don't dread them. It is what we make it. I'm not overly thrilled either, but overall they're a good thing.
Do you send cards, and if so, how many?
Not anymore.
Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial?
Nope. Haven't done a tree in years.

Thanks, BA4. Good questions!

Today’s Questions:
If you were being interviewed for a job and they asked you what your strongest qualities are, what would you say? - Experience, accuracy, organized, and dependability.

What would you tell them your weakest qualities are? - If they expect me to type fast all or most of the day I won't take the job. I would only be interested in office / admin jobs.

What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why? - The hardest job I did was working under the table for a moving company part time. They were located in the same parking lot where I was working full time. I did about 10 jobs. When moving I hire movers.

What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Why? - I'd rather be retired but this new part-time job I have is working out well, especially when I get paid every Wednesday.

Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them? - More like another day but I am somewhat depressed about them.

Do you send cards, and if so, how many? - Just one ecard to a cousin who sends me one.

Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial? - I never had one.

Thanks, Bay!

Today’s Questions:
If you were being interviewed for a job and they asked you what your strongest qualities are, what would you say?
-----I'd read the interviewer, and give the answer worth the most points in the HR game.

What would you tell them your weakest qualities are?
----- I'd read "Job-seeking for Dummies" and give the professionnal stock answer. This is not 1960. I want the job, I have to game the system. If necessary, I'd go to a head-hunter.

What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why?
------ Wait tables. Fake servility.

What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Why?
----- Teach English as a foreign language. Sociable, flexible.

Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them?
----- Dread

Do you send cards, and if so, how many?
----- no. Not since the 70s when I thought mailing them from Bethlehem Israel would be nice. Nobody noticed.

Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial?

----- artificial. Thinking there is "meaning" to a real one now seems so artificial. A real tree would go over like a "dad joke" Dad, what are you doing? roll-eyes.

Let's all help each other find some joy in the spirit around us.

Today’s Questions:
If you were being interviewed for a job and they asked you what your strongest qualities are, what would you say? Whatever it takes I'm your man.

What would you tell them your weakest qualities are? I have a bad back and can't do that.

What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why? Digging by hand a sewer line ditch cuz it's a stinkin job. That was eons ago.

What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Fly a helicopter over scenic Hawaii and take pictures of the erupting volcano. Why? Because I did it many years ago and it was exciting.

Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them? No and no, it is what it is..

Do you send cards, and if so, how many? Used to send 50-60 cards, now it's down to 6-8.

Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial? We have a small table top artificial tree because she insists on one.

Good Morning

Today’s Questions:
If you were being interviewed for a job and they asked you what your strongest qualities are, what would you say? I am dependable.

What would you tell them your weakest qualities are?

What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why? Waiting 12 hours in a waiting room while my son was having open heart surgery. Emotionally draining.

What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Why? Travel to Egypt. I was overwhelmed the first time. A second time I could be more relaxed and take in more. It was just so surreal.

Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them? Dread them. Too much commercialism.

Do you send cards, and if so, how many? I send about five.

Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial? Up until about ten years ago we always went to the Christmas tree farm to cut on down. Since then, a small artificial tree goes up--it is about 15" tall. I force myself to put up a few decorations for my family. My heart is not into it--they do not know that.

Today in History:
Thanks for the History lesson Bay!

Thinking of all the holiday lights going up, here's the random quote of the day:

Electricity can be dangerous. My nephew tried to stick a penny into a plug. Whoever said a penny doesn't go far didn't see him shoot across that floor. I told him he was grounded. ~Tim Allen.

I'm rarely out sick. I got into the habit because being a teacher, it's more work to be gone than it is to be there.

What would you tell them your weakest qualities are?

I can get too bogged down in details, lose sight of the overall picture.

What is something you have done before, but you hope you never have to do it again? Why?

Go through a divorce. It was a real hurricane of emotions, took me years to get over it.

What is something you’ve done before, and you would love to do it again? Why?

I remember a ski trip we took in college...when you're 19, in a neighboring state that allows alcohol to 18 year olds, in a hotel with dozens of classmates...it gets interesting. Actually the hotel people told us to never come back because the other guests complained about all night partying (and worse). Rumor was, someone from our group had thrown up into the ice machine.

Do you look forward to the holidays or dread them?

I hated them when I was divorced. I look forward to them more than I used to. We just moved here, so it's a new beginning of sorts. But mostly, holidays are for kids.

Do you send cards, and if so, how many?

No. I think they're a waste of a perfectly good tree, whether that's at Christmas or birthdays or anything else.

Do you have a Christmas tree, or will you be getting one? Real or artificial?
I think we moved it with us...wife tossed and gave away many things before the move. She's already decorated but there's no tree, and not much space to put one in any case.
Recommendation for an awesome Christmas (two weeks from today?!) movie:
