No more processed food,junk food,no Pop,no cold cuts,way less meat ( if fish and chicken),rather more lentils and beans. I bake my own breads,make my own yogurt,cook from scratch and do all my baking myself. I eat a lot of raw vegetables and lots of fruit,6 to 8 cups green tea a day and drink before breakfast my daily glass of turmeric/fenugreek/ginger mix.

I'll give it to my friend who lives outside of town. She has a lot of chickens so what's one more, right? She's who I get my eggs from, also.

I take the time to make a daily green salad with a large variety of vegetables. I eat more fruit, chicken breast, salmon and less bread. I still love bread, but I don't eat as much.

No I do not and cannot think of a reason to do so.

~ A mountain that you would like to visit for a weekend:
Eagle Mountain which is the highest natural point in Minnesota. It is in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Superior National Forest in the Misquah Hills. Also, it is only about 15 miles from Minnesota's lowest elevation, Lake Superior. I know it's not much as far as mountains go, but I prefer to stay close to home for now, plus it's gorgeous!

I can't think of anything since what I eat is farm-raised already.

Along the shore of Lake Superior in northern Minnesota and we'll stop at one of the state parks for a hike... maybe Tettegouche State Park.

I think we would probably look at each other in disbelief. I have a neighbor who has a rooster, so I presume that he has hens. Dunno it they can operate an elevator though.

I eat the same meals over and over, unless I go to a fancy restaurant or the great Chinese place down the street.

~ Have you ever seen a scarab? Yes, I believe so. There are a bazillion beetles in Indiana and I suspect I've seen scarabs many times. I've also seen images of scarabs at museums which have ancient Egyptian artifacts.

~ Name 3 video games: Pac Man; Pong; Space Invaders (yep, I'm old!). I don't know the names of any current video games. I've heard of a game called Grand Theft Auto, but don't know whether that's still around.

I'd talk to him and feed him. I'd check to see whether it's legal to keep a chicken in my yard and, if it's okay, I'd make a coop for him and maybe even purchase another chicken to keep him company.

~ In what ways have your eating habits changed over the last several-ish years? I cut out most high-carb, highly-processed foods such as breads, pastas and rice. I love all those things, but they have terribly high glycemic indices. I'm not diabetic and hope to keep it that way by eating whole-grain, high-fiber carbs. In the past few months I've been really good about not indulging in the many desserts that show up at my workplace. I've also cut way back on sodium intake.

~ Do you ever look directly at the sun? Occasionally, for a quick second. I will glance at it during the eclipse on Monday just for a second or two at a time. I did that during the 1988 eclipse.

~ A mountain that you would like to visit for a weekend: Mt. Saint Helens. I was in that area in 1993 and would be curious today to see how much vegetation has returned to the mountain since then (in the aftermath of the 1980 eruption). I was amazed in '93 at how much vegetation had already returned to the surrounding area.
