posting a map (computer, open)

I have planned out a route on google maps and would like to save it so that I can post it in a forum I'm in. How the heck do you do it. I have saved the map after I drew out all the turns and it saves it blank. I sent it to me after it was all drawn out and it was blank. I don't get it. What am I doing wrong. Thank you

I think you will just have to put the link in the forum after you get the route on there, otherwise, save the blank map and mark the route with the paint application on your computer. just right click the file on your desktop, and click open with... paint. (if you have windows.)
