A friend gave me a folding pocket knife for my birthday last year. It's a SOG Kiku Tactical Folding Knife. It is real nice, but I was wondering if I could carry it on me? is that legal?

It might depend on the state or even city.

LOL...... Enough said

But over here you would get done good and proper by the powers that be for carrying a blade.

I’ve always carried a folding pocket knife that has a blade under 3” long. No one has ever said anything to be about it even while visiting France. However I didn’t have the knife in my pocket at the time I was on the plane. I believe I heard somewhere that any pocket knife with less than a 3” blade is legal, but it may depend on the state you’re in. The knife is a Swiss Army knife that has several tools in it like a screwdriver etc.

Depends on State / county / municipalities.. check yours.. most states I think 4 inch is legal.. but with a dull blade and a 20 page safety data sheet.

This thread may give some insight.

Knife Laws in San Antonio and Surrounding

Your local city or state laws would apply . Don't know if there are fed laws concerning knives.

Locking blades pose another bone of contention as do switch blades.

I couldn't believe my eyes at the stuff I saw for sale in Bulgaria a few weeks ago. Flick knives, knuckle dusters........ they even had miniature knuckle dusters for the kiddies....
