60 years ago? Have to wait 1 more year to answer this.
50 years ago? Would have been in Western Alaska. Was in the third grade. Who knows maybe that was the day I got sent to the corner for a crime I did not commit. My third grade teacher was evil. She hated kids so she became a teacher just so she could torture them
40 years ago? Was in Southeast Alaska doing my first year of college. Pretty sure I was not standing in the corner. However it might have been the night I was accused of sneaking out of the girls dorm after midnight. The real truth was the girl with me was sneaking into the girls dorm after midnight. However I was not about to miss the chance to embarrass my mom (her office was next to the dean of students office) so I refused to deny sneaking out of the girls dorm. The dean knew better so I did not get into any trouble.
30 years ago? Was in Anchorage Alaska. Had just got laid off from my fuel truck driving job. That led to my career in aviation.
20 years ago? Still hanging around Anchorage Alaska. Working at the airport
10 years ago? Once again hanging around Anchorage Alaska. In the process of applying with an airline that would take me all over the world.

National Sibling Day Thanks Bay! Nice job!
60 years ago, I was 2....... I guess I was a toddler just getting used to my surrounding world.
50 years ago, at 12 years of age, I was involved with school, and my main interest was a girl who lived across the street from me. Her name was Michelle, and I thought she was gorgeous...... a lot happened in 1966, and my world was turned upside down in many ways.
40 years ago, I had left the army 2 years previously. I was a child bridegroom, as I had married in 1973, when I was 20 years old.... It seemed like a good idea at the time....... I was working in a steady job, and had managed to get my dad a job at my firm. We worked together for a couple of years. Walking to work with my dad is a great memory. I was also making plans to buy my first house. My sons were born in 1977, and 1980.
30 years ago, I was making plans to buy my third house. My dad died in 1987, and my life went into meltdown. It was a bad time in many ways. I ended up getting divorced in 1992. I remember sitting on my bedroom floor after returning from work to find my wife, and bed gone. My eldest son was sitting on the floor opposite me. "What now dad?" he asked. "Well first of all, I need to buy a bed" I replied. I didn't know it, but this was the beginning of a better. and happier life.
20 years ago, I had bought my fourth house....... I had to sell the third as part of my divorce settlement. I was remarried, and feeling a lot happier about myself. My mother died in 1998, and we had made peace at the end of her life. I forgave her, and it was a massive relief to do so.
10 years ago, I had taken medical retirement from Royal Mail in 2002. I had suffered some ill health, and had two operations on my back in 1999. I was sorry to have to leave, especially many of my work colleagues I had known for many years. I worked at two other jobs, but called it a day in 2007, when I was 54 years old.
Since then, I have visited Las Vegas 11 times, and been to many other countries on holiday. My wife and I are off to Spain at the end of this month. My motto is, 'you can't take it with you'........
