I'm wondering if other people find it relaxing/satisfying, watching horses and cows have their hooves trimmed and repaired.

I won't add a video, some of it's icky.

N P K, oh, and micro nutrients.

I need to get out more, I'm really boring, even to myself.

Organic matter, water retention, anaerobic conditions.

You see, I told you. Boring.

I wonder how many turnips, the average person eats in their lifetime.

we used to think more of the expense. Not saying the farrier didn't earn it but they were not cheap!

wondering why people whine about hawks killing poor little birdies then go throw some chicken on the grill.

I've eaten as few as possible. I don't like them. I could tolerate swedes, rutabaga, because mom served them with pot roast, chuck, and there was gravy to put on them.

Thinking about why there is no such thing as ”halfway foster care” for 18-21 year olds that is intermediate between having foster parents and having social workers. ”Halfway foster care” would have 1 social worker per 5-6 ”clients” (Intermediate between 1:2 for foster care and 1:20 for social work) and thus giving young adults emerging from foster care a chance for quasi-stable real mentorship, where the social worker actually can give each young person enough attention to help them, and also has enough time to sometimes do extended activities with the client, somewhat like a foster parent. Why does such a thing not exist, or does it?
