Yes dear peevers, the Peeve of The Week 'Mascot', Molly, has reached the grand old age of 16, which for a labrador is pretty good going. (Actually it's tomorrow, but I may be busy).
I know that many of you comment about her on and off forum, so I'm posting a little life history of my shadow.
Before we even met her this photo was taken by the people who had her bred. Even though she has white paws and a white flash she is a pedigree with a silly fancy name, but to us she is always Molly, Mols or Molly The Wally!
Here she is at a few months old- it's a photo of a photo- in the field with Miss J;
Here she is a bit later, close cropped, in the heat of Houston;
And with her side kick, and partner in crime, Poppy;
Back in England she loves being in the field, and Poppy used to join in;
Damn- I'm not supposed to be in this chair!
Here's my serious look now that I'm getting older;
I love the cold!
Those buttercups again!
This is a special shot for me- I took this only a few weeks ago and I thought it wouldn't happen. Molly got seriously ill and lost over 14 pounds in weight pretty quickly. She put weight back on and here she is on a walk with me in the open forest (the New Forest);
We are blessed when lovable companions like Molly are chosen to share our lives. They seem so happy to just be with the family, and really require so little from us. Hugs and belly rubs, some treats now and again. What a great photo timeline. I'm so glad you and Mrs. J are her parents. Thanks for sharing!
