Home is where I am with God, family and friends, the surroundings don't matter as far as physical location.
It is the love, acceptance and respect given and received that makes it home.
I have hometown memories of where I spent half of my life and return to each year; I also have my home now where I live with family and friends that is “home”. So I have two places I call home.
It's where you have memories, friends, family, and everything that money can't buy. It's really not a specific physical location it's place where you feel comfortable and happy.
After 36 plus years in Florida... I came to this little sleep town up on the Cumberland Plateau and now this is home.. I should have been here years before.. It's Oz...
I do not like my "place" but it's better than being in a shelter or on the street.
I am doing the same- kicking and screaming that this is NOT home but at the same time, it is. And again, I have the same thoughts about my apartment. Not a good location or comforting but it is where I am, so I have to accept it.
I don't know where my home is. "Should" be in WI, but it seems I can't get there right now.
