Good morning peevers and welcome to a new week, indeed a new month!

As we all know time seems to go faster and faster as we 'mature'.

It's been feeling more like Autumn (Fall) the last week or so and we actually put the heating on a couple of times.

The days are also shortening, especially noticeable in the evenings. At least we get long days in the summer, countered by short days in winter.

Those extremes were not so noticeable in Houston.

What peeves you with the changes in the seasons? Do you get 'seasons'?

This week's peeve is more a discussion, especially because we live in such differing places.

This week's 'peeve' is;

The things I miss from each season.

The photos are more of a 'what I got up to this week' kind of theme;

What day is it?

Up to Marlborough to see mum;

Must have breakfast here first;

Now we're entering Autumn I am not too happy, there is very little I miss from this season as it mainly involves dampness, chilliness and mud. I suppose I miss the brief moment of intense colour in the leaves.

I always miss the snow when Winter is gone. I love snow, makes a winter a proper winter.

I miss seeing the world come to life in Spring, love those first new flowers.

And I am missing the warmth of Summer already!

Molly is so sweet-I just want to hug her. Does she like being hugged? I had a dog that hated it. Always got this 'how long is it going to last?' look on her face.

Summer I miss the long days, and the changing of the flowers.
Autumn, my favorite season, the colors, cool crispness of the air. fresh picked apples, and fresh pressed cider.

Winter, well, snow is pretty but sure wish it'd stay off the roads. I do like the quiet tho', and there's a certain light that's only this time of year.

Spring-the birds are back! Especially fond of the red-winged black bird. I love their song.

The things I miss from each season.

Can't say I miss anything at all, my seasons are generally always mild. Though I do miss some fruits when they're out of season.

Grrreat pics again jeezer.

I don't like being cold, so I will miss the summer, not looking forward to all the leaves around here. It's lush and green and I'd like it to stay like this

Funny but it seems the things that we are the things we got tired of. When it's 100F I miss the chill of winter. When it's -20F I miss the sweat of summer. When the leaves are awash with color in the fall I realize the will soon be gone and I miss the promise of new life in the spring. As nice as a tree, breaking out in a new coat of green, is I miss the pallet of color in the fall. I guess I'm hard to please.

We are now in Florida. For me I have to learn a whole new climate and change my thoughts on seasons.

Your pics are beautiful and heartwarming. Hugs to Molly and Poppy!

The things I miss from each season.

I enjoy looking at pics of fall and winter but year throughout, I prefer the tropics.
This is my neighborhood, happy to be here. (Sorry about the size. Just got a new computer and it isn't happy with my existing photo software)

Have a safe and happy week, Jezer!
