These drive me nuts too, but I'll add another - affect/effect.

This is affecting me, not effecting me

However, someone can have an affect and effect change.

No one is perfect.

We all make mistakes when posting.

Remember - people are from all over the world, as well.

You're kidding right? It's British English, isn't it?

It definitely aggravates me when people write "definately" instead of "definitely."

Default I feel the same

I know, I feel the same way. I work in the field of medical transcription and do a lot (and it is "a lot" not "alot") of QA on reports, checking for grammar, punctuation and the like. It just makes me cringe when I come on some of these message boards and the posts look like something a kid in elementary school would type. However, I have learned to just look over most of the errors and enjoy what the person is trying to say. Some of these people who have a hard time with the proper English and spelling of words as well as grammar just might be better with numbers or something else that I absolutely can't (as in "cannot") stand, so I guess it's (as in "it is") a fair trade.

I think now before I post I will have to use the dictionary and be perfect.
Personally I think there are so many other things in this world to worry about.
You're being way too fussy.
