Good morning peevers.

Well that was a great day yesterday, made even nicer as Miss J had been with us for a short stay.

She has another exam today as her second year draws to a close.

Yesterday we were making further enquiries about setting up a bank account for her in Europe.

Oh deep joy!

I don't care what these glitzy ads say about banks, they're in it for one reason only and it's not for the benefit of the customer.

How do you get on with your bank?

Let's find out as the POTD is;

Dealing with your bank.

Here with some shots taken this week including a couple of amusing ones showing a juvenile pheasant that has become too interested in the garden, much to the disdain of Poppy;

Aqualegia is self seeding everywhere;

I love ferns;

We Love our bank! Such friendly people. We've been customers of theirs since the early 80's. It's so nice to walk a couple blocks down to the bank, be greeted by our first names, and get wonderful service (and lollipops) . And, since we operate a business, we walk or ride the couple blocks every day. No service charges, no ATM charges, and checks are very cheap. The employees are involved in our community activities, and we're all friends. Of course, we're a small town of less than 1,400 people. In 2009 our town had a 100th birthday bash for the bank!

Great photos Jezer ......Dealing with your bank we never had an issue with our bank,DH and I are customers for more than 30 years now..used the same bank already before we got married. If there was a problem it was quickly taken care off. Now we do mostly on-line banking.

I don't have any problems with my bank that I have now, but in the past I've had loads of problems. Seems they were always screwing something up....one time they even deposited my money into someone else's account!! That was a nightmare to get straightened out. I wish you all the luck trying to get an account set up for Miss J, hopefully things will go smoothly.

Good peeve, Jezer. My paychecks are deposited directly into my account each month and the only contact I have with my bank is when I pull money out of the ATM. Very nice to have all inclusive rent so don't need to deal with checks, etc.

I rarely have to deal with the bank, which is good because my local branch is only open 3 mornings a week. I do all my banking online really, bills and all, no problems there.

Dealing with your bank.

We fired our bank years ago and now only deal with credit unions.
