Today’s Question:
Do you use a nightlight (or something comparable) for if/when you wake up in the dark ?
No there is enough light from street lights and my & neighbors outside lights

Extra Credit:
Do you buy pens (or writing instruments) in bulk-
or one at a time ?
NO, between hotels and restaurants I have enough

Bonus:
Do you have pictures of people on your walls ?
Yes, do you know who they are?

Just for Fun:
Have you a bed cover-an extra piece of fabric (sheet, quilt, duvet cover, bedspread)-atop your blankets ?
Yes, I put it on every time I make my bed. I think that was some time in 2011.

1948: Birth of English musician Steve Winwood

Does anyone know why someone would come from Australia to swim from Cuba to the US?

He know wraps his peas wrapped in pork.

Today’s Question:
Do you use a nightlight (or something comparable) for if/when you wake up in the dark? I don't normally use one, but made an exception for a few months when I was recovering from foot surgery and not getting around the house very well. I had to be extra careful.

Extra Credit:
Do you buy pens (or writing instruments) in bulk or one at a time? I haven't purchased a pen in many years. I get so many of them for free from seminars and in gift bags at charity events that I never run out anymore. I don't do a lot of writing by hand, so pens last a long time in my house.

Bonus:
Do you have pictures of people on your walls? Yes, I have a few. I have pix of my mom and dad (both long deceased), and a couple of photo collages with various pix from weddings and parties.

Just for Fun:
Have you a bed cover-an extra piece of fabric (sheet, quilt, duvet cover, bedspread)-atop your blankets? Yes. I have a comforter on my bed.
Today’s Word:
winterbourne (n.): A stream or river that is dry in summer months

That's a cool word. I need to remember that one.

Today Is:
National Etiquette Week We could use a lot more of that these days.
National Dog Bite Prevention Week Train Fido to stay!
National Bike To Work Week I wish I could do this, but I have a 29-mile commute and work in a city which is very unsafe.
National Women’s Check-up Day I've already had mine for this year.

Limerick Day I love limericks!
My friends on C-D are a hoot.
I love them way better than loot.
They sure make me smile
More than once in a while.
I'll ne'er give my fun pals the boot!
(Hey, what do you expect for 2 minutes of effort? )

Odometer Day
National Nutty Fudge Day Yum! I prefer plain fudge, but I won't turn down the nutty stuff!

Have a fantastic day, everybody!

Today’s Question:
Do you use a nightlight (or something comparable) for if/when you wake up in the dark ?
Yes, the backboard area has a light switch but we also put up one of those motion detector lights in the bathrooms. The motion lights are much better (providing you keep batteries working). That gets used more often because the light switch on bed backboard turns on both overhead lights and it's pretty bright.

Extra Credit:
Do you buy pens (or writing instruments) in bulk-
or one at a time ?
Usually one at a time but on occasion I've bought in bulk (not Costco/Sam's Club "bulk").

Bonus:
Do you have pictures of people on your walls ?
Yes

Just for Fun:
Have you a bed cover-an extra piece of fabric (sheet, quilt, duvet cover, bedspread)-atop your blankets ?
We usually use the jersey knit bed sheets and then one of those comforters but when the weather gets "really" cold, we use one bedspread in between.

^I was reading a magazine article about Stonehenge, which led to me to looking the site up on Wikipedia,
which led to other "earthworks" kinds of art (mounds, tunnels, etc.), which eventually led me to this word (which was new to me).
