Soccer is a great game, and the rich variety of styles and passions that come with being truly global makes the World Cup a nonpareil event in the universe of competitive sport.

“Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a 'hot mess' or having 'too many issues' are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world.”

― Anthon St. Maarten - Inspirational speaker, metaphysical teacher and spiritual author

"We are only one small adjustment away from making our lives work"

It's from the movie "How Do You Know?"

In the scene he gave her a can of Play-Doh for her birthday and she was confused until he told her what it was made for (and this is a true story).

Some dude in Ohio concocted it to remove soot from coal and fire places from wallpaper. When gas and electricity took over there was no use for it. His sister had a can of it and she told him the kids liked playing with it better than hard clay. So, they added color to it and thus Play-Doh was born.

He said he'd kept it on a shelf forever and it reminded him that "we are only one small adjustment away from making our lives work."

I come from no country, from no city, no tribe. I am the son of the road... all tongues and all prayers belong to me. But I belong to none of them.

Random quote:
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
Mark Twain

“It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one.”
― George Harrison
