A Czech television anchor couldn’t figure out why his colleagues were having fits of uncontrolled
giggling while he was in the middle of a live broadcast.
Turns out that what they knew (and he didn’t) was that a large phallus was being shown on a monitor
behind his head After receiving a flood of complaints the station issued an apology.
‘The image was actually part of a documentary, but we should have been aware of timing and not had
that particular scene playing when we went on air.’
The phallus was later replaced by a picture of a green vegetable.
