Recently discovered in the trees of Sri Lanka, the tiger spider is a giant tarantula the size
of a human face with a leg span up to 8” in diameter

With deforestation these beasts are moving out of the trees and setting up camp in villages.

Interesting. They're adapting in an effort to keep from becoming extinct. For their sake though, that doesn't seem to be such a great place.

They're pretty cool, actually. Spiders are fascinating! However, I sure wouldn't want to encounter one of those suckers in the wild - or, worse yet, in my home!
