LONDON - Barbara West Dainton, believed to be one of the last two survivors from the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, has died in England at age 96.
Dainton died Oct. 16 at a nursing home in Camborne, England, according to Peter Visick, a distant relative. Her funeral was held Monday at Truro Cathedral, Visick said Thursday.

Millvina Dean the last known survivor of the Titanic disaster has passed away in England. Millvina Dean was born Febuary 12th,1912 she was only 9 weeks old when the Titanic sank into the icy waters of April 15th, 1912 making her the youngest survivor of the Titanic. Millvina served her country dilligently in World War 2 and completed her familys ill fated voyage on the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1997. Millvina Dean was 97 years old.

Sad! My kids got me a photograph of her and the Titanic this past Christmas. The photo is of her holding my photo of the Titanic. The other photo is of course the Titanic photo she is holding in the other photo. Nice keepsakes!! RIP Millvina.
