We just rented a house. It has a fireplace. Husband has been collecting wood since the day we moved in.
What I like about the outdoor stove is when the kids are riding on a sled or tube snowboard they can warm up and get some hot chocolate.

Ive got the fire!!! remember that song? lol

I love our fireplace. I just wish we had one in the bedroom too. I hope our new home has one in there.

Well - I had a fireplace in my last house - Never used it.

We have one in this house, might use it. Have to get it checked out first. It hasn't been a priority!!!

Another fireplace user/lover here in Texas!! I have a gas fireplace that I use in the winter when we have those occasional 20-30 degree nights during the winter here in North Texas. I also have it on when it's rainy and we have those 40-50 degree days in the late fall or early spring. Love it but I've never done s'mores..and sometimes it warms the house up so much that I have to crack a window!

My fireplace will heat about 1/2 of my house. I love it. I have estimated that it saves me $100 per month on an average $400/month electric bill in the cold months.

I love cold weather and I love fire places, unfortunately it rarely gets cold enough to use mine in Houston.
