You might be a hippie,,, if you enjoy such artists as:

Phish, the String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic, the Grateful Dead, Traffic, Incredible String Band, and The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Donovan, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Carol King, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Melanie Safka, Pink Floyd, Joan Baez, The Who, Umphrie's McGee, and String Cheese Incident...

and by 'enjoy' - you close your eyes, sway to the tunes, letting the music course through your body, getting high off of the melody.

I never was a part of the hippie crowd. Even in high school I was the president of the Republican Club.
I stayed extremely conservative my whole life.

Not Hippies. Beatniks. My older sister was a Beatnik. Whole other generation and lifestyle.

M G Krebs was a "beatnik" not a hippy. He was about a decade too early.... Or he would have been one.

Default You Might be a hippy if

If you know what groovy love is, free love is, if you think 1969 was the pinacle of your life.
You Might be a hippy if you ever had a VW bus with flowers and a peace sign on it. (I did and cought hell for it here in Alabama).
You Might be a hippy if your first kiss came from a girl you hardly knew.
You Might be a hippy if your older brothers gave you a hard time because your hair was too long.
You Might be a hippy if you would rather make love, not war.
You Might be a hippy if you ever had a good friend move to Canada.
You Might be a hippy if you ever shared money with someone that ask, and not ask why they needed it.
You Might STILL be a hippy if you are getting old and miss those things.
