Tell me another that has created so many jobs, money not only for him but for those around him, industries, items. This guy did more for the nation than all the elected officials put together. He will be missed.

Exactly ... Never understood people who venture on a thread discussing the death of a person just to post something nasty or negative ... That's fine if you don't like the person but have respect for those who are in mourning and refrain from posting ... If you cannot resist temptation, just don't open the thread. Simple as that.

I feel for his family and loved ones.

I would certainly agree with that statement. Steve Jobs was a true genius and visionary and helped change just about every aspect of modern life from a technological standpoint.

Indeed.

Some rare individuals actually change the world.

RIP SJ.

Personally Steve Jobs was one of my heroes in life. He did what I wished I could have done. He accomplished great things. Maybe their are things that he did that some may disagree with or maybe some just don't like his ideas on life or that he has vast wealth. He wasn't a CEO that raped a company dry like many. He was paid $1 a year to run Apple. His reward was stock that increased in value. From the time of his return to the company look at what the stock had done. It is the worlds greatest company or was for a little while this year. Not sure if that is correct still as things change from time to time in the business world. He spoke one time at Stanford to a group of students about accomplishing things and stated that you should live your life like this is your last day. The idea he was pointing out is to live your dream and if you don't have that dream yet to search for it. When you find it chase it, live it, accomplish it. He lived his life like that. He thought we all could and should live our lives like that. I agree with him.

It is seldom that when a public figure or someone that is in the public eye passes away that I mourn or have any kind of fealings toward them. We don't really know them or what they are about other than what we see or read. With Steve Jobs I was saddened by his passing. I grew up reading about him, Apple, Next, Pixar, the return to Apple, His sale of Pixar to Disney, The possibility that he could have been chosen to become CEO of Disney (He was on the board if I remember correctly) I think that my generation grew up with him and others like him. He was real to me and those around me. I don't care to hear about things that he may have done or how he may have rubbed someone the wrong way. This just isn't a place for that nor would I think that any forum or news article should be a place for that with any person. The bad is water under the bridge. The good will live on forever. We will miss you Steve.

Whoever or whatever he was it's terribly sad that anyone should die that way at that age.
