Learning from childhood what is right from wrong but judging the circumstances if right from wrong needs to be thrown out the window.

so, what you're saying is that some things are GENERALLY accepted as right or wrong, but certain circumstances could cause that to change>?

I had sort of a hard time making sense of that one.

Agree with all this. Would as for specifics if you're of a mind to.

One from me? I believe there is a difference between what's illegal and what's immoral. Some things are legal and are immoral. Some things are illegal and are not. This is what I believe. I once found myself broke, in a strange city, and I dug myself out of that hole by doing a business that was legal, but in my mind then and now, not moral. But I did it, for a while till I could get a stock pile and bail out.

I don't pass many judgements on others. One is that we don't engage in behavior that we know will cause harm to others. I haven't always lived up to my own standards; see above example.

I am big on keeping my word, my loyalties. I rarely lie, unless I have what I think is a good reason. I try very hard not to be hypocritical. EG: I try not to judge others harshly for behavior that I may have to one degree or another been guilty of myself.

Maybe the simple answer to this question is yes, we all have integrity as we define it, and we have all been guilty of falling short.

In the details, in the differences and the consistencies, is where we may find worthy discussion...

Integrity is being true to your word, treating others fairly and being trustworthy.

I so agree with this. Find that it is not so important to many people. Always disappointed at those times.

I'm still naive enough that it surprises me when people do not keep their word. I'm disappointed every time.

That is all that matters.
Hard to argue with any of this. And I believe you.

Whether or not the rules really pertain to the situation. Example your boss is degrading a child and really should do it to the parents.

Do you .......A. Ignore it. It's your boss. The person who writes your check.
B. Step in protect the child. Yell at your boss for talking that way to a child.
....Or. C. Call services and report.
