Google maps again. I'm a visual person and google maps is a poor mans GPS service. lol,,,, I enter a new address that I'm going to and see the streets that will take me there. I find it's helpful in the new areas of the valley that I'm unfamiliar with.
Today I googled maps to get information on a specific cross street location and did a satellite view; while there I also was able to do an additional search for apartments that was in the area. It had a wealth of information and map pins showing the location and names, addresses and website info.
I was able to pass the information on to another person to help them out.
I Googled our address once. According to them, we live about 6 miles down the road, in a grain silo. At least it's a big one...
Truth be told, I Google a lot. A little light reading material, info on planting new things, geology, what kinda rock is this, what the heck kinda bug is on my flowers...the choices are endless!
It's also put the DH in his place a time or two ( see Honey, I WAS right! ) gotta love that!
Vast amounts of info and mere keystrokes away. Damn, I really coulda used this in college!
I was looking at prices for riding lawn mowers from different companies
*gasp*
I'll stick with my old john deere. A little gum and duct tape, it's all good lol.
Local radio station website. I wanted to stream audio on the laptop while out to lunch and using their wifi. I also enjoy listening to out of state radio stations via streaming audio from all over the country.
Hey this sounds like an excellent idea I am going to try it
