Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- Tired of all the squawking about America's unemployment? Try out for a job as a corporate duck.

People are lining up in six major cities to audition Monday and Tuesday to be the next quacksperson for the insurance company Aflac.

They're quacking to be new Aflac duck - CNN.com

Ironically, John, that's also happening in Austin right now. I saw the story on the news this morning.

Someone might make millions of quacks doing that.

Gilbert Gottfried was recently fired by them after he made all those offensive remarks (on Twitter) about the disaster in Japan. Some were sexual, ALL were just in bad taste. I could totally understand why an "insurance" company would be embarrassed by this. So, they are having to replace him and I think by making this a national search, it brought more public awareness to the fact that they made this decision as soon as it was brought to their attention.

Some comedians came to his defense....but I don't think there was ANY defense for the stuff he said.

You're right GloryB, and also note that Aflack is Japans #1 insurer, another reason for the flack over Got Fried.
