Happy Tuesday, kids! Today's Tip is about getting
hard water stains off glassware. This applies to glass
dishes as well as glass shower doors and the like.

HOW TO REMOVE HARD WATER STAINS FROM GLASS
  1. Combine a paste of vinegar and baking soda. This natural solution is the cheapest formula to remove hard water stains from glass.
  2. Apply the paste to the hard water stains using a scrubbing sponge in a circular motion. Work the stain while applying the paste and allow it to sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Wipe off the paste with a damp towl and remove excess water with a squeege if you're cleaning a shower door or other large glass pane. This will clean most hard water stains off glass.
  4. If your stains have been sitting for several years, you may need to further clean your glass with a cream stove-top cleaner.

Mrs Aks just did this yesterday. She used vinegar in the dishwasher. I find it much easier to simply drop the glass and break them, works for me.

We used to do what the tips said, but since we changed to a soft water system we don't have those problems anymore.

After showering I spray vinegar and water on the shower glass, then squeege off. No hard water build-up for me

Great tip, Pam Other than one house a long time ago, I've always had hard water and hate those chemical cleaners made for water stains. Good to know there's a cheaper way to get rid of those stains and one that's green.
