I'm back home and thanks to Mrs J for posting yesterday's peeve. (Leans round to the other desk to thank her.)
The mutt (translation-dog) is out in the field at the moment and as it's a bit wet out there I'll towel her off when she comes looking for some grub (translation- food).
This leads me to my peeve.
When you clean something, maybe a floor, and almost immediately someone, or something, mucks it up again (translation-gets it dirty again).
If nothing else I'll have you all fluent in British colloquialisms (slang).
Animals I don't mind cause I understand they don't have a concept of clean and dirty the way we do. But when other humans do that it does annoy me. Particularly when you're the designated cleaner and they don't do jack!
Today's peeve has been THE peeve of moms and wives for generations......probably since the beginning of time.
Yeah, I remember back in the days when dad came home from hunting, tired and dragging his war club through the cave door mucking up and mom yelling at him "I just raked that up"...geesh she was mad...
I can relate to this one. I can spend the entire day cleaning, stand back and admire my good work take the doggies out then next thing you know they have managed to drag muck back in no matter how hard I try to make sure all footsies are clean before they enter. Ahhhhh such is life.
My pet humans never fail to track in crap-o-la two hours after I've cleaned my floors!
