Where there any where folks just "didn't get it" ? ~~ No, they knew me! haha I worked in Sporting Goods @ Wal-Mart at the time and had access to the gun cabinet. Safety lock on and just for a picture.

Wow...one thing my mother was good at was Halloween costumes...so I've been:

Toilet

Angel
Fairy

Which have gotten the best response ? The toilet of course.....no there were not floaters involved.
Have any won a costume contest ? Yup the toilet...my brother wore it a couple of years later and won also.

What is your all time favorite "greasy food" ? Home fried potatoes. Instead of using butter I fry the potatoes with Italian dressing. Add mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and some ham. Just before they are done I add a bunch of swiss cheese.

What kinds of different Halloween costumes have you worn in the past ? Some as a child. My husband & I don't celebrate halloween in general because we feel it glorifies evil, fear and the macaabre. I know. We're weird but it is what it is!
That said, however, as an adult, I have dressed up for a Fall Festival as an angel and another time for a "fifties" dress-up contest at work. I won 2nd place in the fifties contest with my powder blue poodle skirt!
Was there anywhere folks just didn't "get it?' One time at the bank where I worked we dressed up for an auto loans promotion as "auto mechanics" and this one lady, I think, thought we were all just dressed "slovenly!":o
Oh, I almost forgot this one! My boss had a Christmas party one year, and she wanted everyone to dress up as something "Christmas-y." We had a rather lively "discussion" in the office between the people who DID want to dress up for the party and those of us (including me) who did NOT. She finally just threw up her hands and said, if you want to come as something Christmas-y, do it and if you don't, just come and dress normally.
So ....my husband and I ended up coming wearing these placard type signs that said, "We're Wise Men. Wise Men don't wear costumes to Christmas parties!" We won first place.

Yay!! I am finally finished _with my mother's tax extension. Even with an accountant, it was a major ordeal!___________ ?
