"Faith without works is dead..." I have also heard it said "God helps those who help themselves", I have never read that in the Bible though. However, it is easier to be helped when u r using your own hands to do it. My grandmother use to say " let not your hands be idle- always to what u can and let God do the rest"

I agree! You've got to try and help yourself first. Then ask for help if you need to.
