TGIF Peevers! Hope you made it through the week in one piece!

Just FYI... I'm sorry that Thursday's Peeve was late. That wasn't my intention, but things happen! Just in case you didn't see the Peeve, here it is: https://www.city-data.com/forum/other...ember-2-a.html

Now on to Friday's peeve... I'm going to try something new. Starting today, I would like to make every Friday "Peevers Friday"... that's where I use your peeves! It's always great to have "viewer participation", right?? So, send me those peeves... anything that peeves you off, tell me about it! Send me a DM, tell me what it's about, and you may be featured on "Peevers Friday!"

This Friday, our featured Peever is PJ8!!

Today's Peeve: People who run in the street instead of on the sidewalks.

They screw up traffic, and many of them run with traffic instead of against it, so drivers can't tell whether the runners know they are coming or not. There are miles and miles of sidewalks in my town (PJ8's town), yet runners always use the street. Grrrrr. To all runners: If you're in an area with sidewalks, USE THEM!

Those that act like cars without the car... They probably are the same ones that act that way riding bikes. Unfortunately, my fair city is giving into the college campus thinking. I mean that pedestrians on bikes at least belong with auto traffic. Creating bike lanes. Stupid idea. Bikes mix better with other pedestrians on sidewalks. Bikes really don't belong in auto traffic.

We have no sidewalks, in my little town.

I hope you still have roads with all the flooding you've had.

Runners prefer the asphalt to cement because it's more forgiving to the joints. However, I agree that they are just roadkill waiting to happen.

beep! beep!

If they're running on the street while there's a sidewalk available, that sounds like jaywalking.

Same here. It's either the 6-lane highway or people's lawns. I usually go with the lawn option.

Hope you made it through the week in one piece?

For those of us that are older, we look at next week as next month, next month as next year, next year as the next decade.

At this point in time, I made it through yesterday in one piece, will I make it through tomorrow in one piece?
