We are relocating to the Orlando area in the next few months. My husband and I are r/e brokers and have owned our own company for many years until recently we closed due to the economy in our area. We have wanted to move to Florida for many years so now seems to be the best time to go. I would like to hear from you guys on the safest areas and the best schools and the best opportunities for a realtor. Also need an area where the schools are somewhat close to each other. We have a 10 and a 6 year old. We will be renting at first and we like ammenities. Like outdoor activities w/the kids. Disney is not a big deal to us as far as a plus or minus being close. I know r/e is not like it use to be to say the least. Please dont make this a thread of negativity. I need to be informed, not depressed. Thanks in advance.

Lake Mary, Wekiva Springs, Back side of Disney above Windermere, Lake Nona for areas to live.

My wife and I both agents and Real Estate is humming along well if you know how to work it (and hopefully will continue).

I'm an Independent Real Estate Broker who started with Coldwell Banker making top producer my first 2 years in a row. The internet has enabled the independent mom & pop brokers to compete for buyers and sellers unlike the past where it was all mega dollars. With a large part of the Orlando market being relocations, 2nd homes and international buyers I do well.

Hope this helps.
