I live in Orlando but never go into Lake Mary. But I have a date up there soon. What's a good first date restaurant up there? Nothing too pricey and something we can wear jeans to, but nice enough so that I won't look like a cheapskate. Something around $60 for two.

Dexter's is a good option. I think it says a little more about you than Olive Garden or the like but is around the same price. The amount you gave for dinner is pretty generous. You could probably also go to FishBones and stay in that range. It has the darker romantic lighting and great food. It leans more toward the fish/seafood/sushi side though. Amura is a good sushi option, but I have only been to the other locations not Lake Mary. There is also an Urban Flats up there and I like them too. I have never been to the Lake Mary location, but the locations I have been to have a good ambience, lighting and food for a date. I hope that helps. A lot of the other restaurants that spring to mind are chains or expensive options like Ruth's Chris.

The way the economy is, I would check the website to confirm as well as call them to ensure they are still open. I am glad I could help!

The area Whilshire is talking about is in Colonial Town Park. It's in Heathrow on the other side of I-4 from Lake Mary.
I love this place and frequent it often.
There are about 5 restaraunts, a Corona Cigar Bar, Coffee cafe, little boutique stores etc.

If you have a chance before your date go over there and check it out. If you head up I-4 it's exit 101a.

Yeah it is actually Heathrow I am referring to. The only restaurants that I can think of on the other side of I-4 (east) are chains and fast food in Lake Mary.
