To transfer from another state I believe you need your SS Card, Birth Certificate, and you have to pass the vision test.

It says on the test for people who have no previous driver's license in any state that they have to take the vision and other tests, but it doesn't say that people that already have a driver's license from another state have to take the vision test. Are you sure they do?

Thanks.

I transfered my NJ license to FL a little over three years ago, and yes, I had to take a vision test. Frankly if you can't pass it (with your glasses if need be), you have no right being on the road. I did not ahve to take any type of written test.

Make an appointment and the wait will be under five minutes--greatest system ever!

If you don't have a license you will have to take the classes, then apply for a permit by taking the written test, then take your road test. You aren't going to be handed a license by the mere fact that you are 21. (Thank God!)
