You will love Bithlo. Trust me. Immediately settle there without hesitation.

And I just have to put the old standard joke here.

'Bithlo: The Nightmare Before Christmas'.

Please don't call Bithlo "East Orlando" East Orlando is the Fashion Square Mall (See the sign on 50 that says "Welcome to Orlando."

Orlando is not represented by everything to the east.

That's Orange County's mess.

It's only a hop, skip and a jump away (7 miles from Alafaya)

Have you even seen the 60's cult film 'Night of the Living Dead?'

I think the boundary between Downtown and East Orlando is Bumby Avenue. With everything beyond the Greenway being "Far" East Orlando with Avalon Park Blvd being the border between the Far East and Bithlo

Then again this is my personal perception of the eastern Orlando area

Question: What do you call a Bithlonian that has a job, a car, isn't a meth addict, has no criminal record and doesn't live in a trailer?

Answer: A non-resident.

I'm quite familiar with the Bithlo area. I even lived in the corner of 50 and Chuluota for 8 months which was in the 32820 Bithlo zip code. One thing that has changed in Bithlo over the last few years is that it is now more diverse. However, the stereotypical Bithlo resident as described above will more than likely be what you encounter going to the local Publix, gas stations, etc. Yes, even Bithlonians, will shop at Publix at times. I'll never forget shopping at the Publix there about 8-9 years ago, a shirtless Bithlonian was walking around with an infected 5 inch sore oozing from his neck. Anyway, if you MUST live in Bithlo...I would suggest the neighborhoods right in the corner of 50 and Chuluota. Cypress Lakes is one of Bithlo's "finest", homes there were built by Engle, Ryland and now I believe that RYAN homes are finishing a few of the last lots. Prices there have gone down dramatically, much more so than the rest of metro Orlando. Corner Lakes behind the middle school is not nearly as nice but still okay, they were built by Maronda Homes. Another option is Avalon Park/Waterford, just another 5 minute drive to the west. The houses there have gone down in price significantly, you will notice that many Bithlonians have sprawled throughout these neighborhoods as the real estate market became depressed.
