Hello all! I am moving to the Altamonte Springs area in June 2012 and I am excited. I was online today looking at some townhomes and came across a development called St. Augustine townhomes. The pictures look lovely! Is anybody familiar with the development? Here is the address for additional clarity:
478 Majestic Way Altamonte Springs, FL 32714

any info you can provide me, would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the area! Are you looking to rent, or to buy? If buying I would avoid as there are a lot of rentals in that area which not only make financing difficult but also keep resale value/potential down as well. It's also a very busy area in terms of traffic if that's any concern to you. Will you be working in Altamonte Springs?

The townhomes are pretty nice with a garage. I assume you are seeking a rental as there are none for sale presently. The complex did have a serious price drop with the fall in housing. but there are none as shorts, reos or conventional sales.

Townhomes will be much easier to finance than condos. There are only a few condos in town eligible for financing.

You will enjoy all the area has to offer.

Default Townhomes

Based on the description of Altamonte Springs - it seems like the best area for me. I am coming from NYC, so I am hoping that the congestion is not as bad as my current area. I have a 3 year old son who loves to participate in activities. And I enjoy living in a town with great amenities.

I am interested in renting my first year in Orlando. The Augustine townhomes seemed right up my alley. I am coming to look around in January. If anyone knows of a similar town as diverse, accessible and family friendly as Altamonte Springs - please give me some suggestions. I like a suburban atmosphere, middle class, diverse close to shopping and other great ammenities. Thanks!

I live in the condos right next to them, and they look very nice out the outside. I've lived in Altamonte for over 7 years now and in the particular condo for over a year...their look still remains manicured. There are two other condo properties in that same area, Montgomery Woods (mine) and LaVita....Montgomery Woods is very small and I'm not sure how large LaVita is, but it's gated. Mostly older and working professionals. I think that you would love the area. Off the beaten path but yet still in the middle of everything. Another great bonus is that when Altamonte Springs sets their Red Hot and Boom fireworks off on the 3rd of July you can see it from the property.
