We are planning to come down probably in April to check out some neighborhoods, homes and schools and our search is targeting Oviedo and Winter Springs. Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel around that area?

There is the Candlewood Extended Stay in Lake Mary for $315/wk. Also, the La Quinta and Extended Stay Suites in Lake Mary around $50/night including tax on hotwire.

There are quite a number of hotels in the UCF area(Oviedo). They're the usual brands that are mostly pretty new. Some include:Hampton inn, Holiday inn, LaQuinta, Springhill Suites, Hilton Garden, etc. They range in price, I'm guessing $65-100/night. It's about 30 minutes from the MCO.

Just stay by UCF. I live in Oviedo and there are a couple of motels in downtown Oviedo, but I wouldn't recommend them. My parents usually stay at the UCF La Qunita and it seems nice.
