Hi! I live full time in a 24 foot travel trailer. It is 17 years old, but in excellent condition. I am 60 years old, and NOT in that great of a condition! I would like to move to the Medford/Ashland/Grants Pass general area. Are there any RV parks there that offer long term rental spaces? I'm in CA now, and the RV parks here will not accept RVs that are more than 10 years old. They are also concerned about my credit score, which is poor. Most parks in AZ don't even look at your credit score, and I am wondering if they do in OR. I also would like to know if there are any spots with hookups on private land. I would much rather live in southern OR than in AZ. Thanks for any info!

Not sure about anything in southern Oregon. I have found several from Waldport up to Lincoln City on the coast. Most require that you pass a background check, not sure what all that covers. So far I have just been looking. Hoping to move out there in about a year. Was hoping to be there by now but selling 30 years worth of hoarding(LOL) is taking way longer than I thought.

It includes a criminal background check, credit report, eviction history, and employment history. They will probably also require references, and they will want to contact those references.

There are some RV parks that are split between "park" models and trailers. I think there are a few that are trailer only but allow long-term stays. There are a bunch of manufactured home parks that don't allow trailers. The RV parks for trailers that I know don't allow long stays are the Southern Oregon RV Park next to the fairgrounds, the two KOA parks and the Medford Oaks RV Park out on Hwy 140. The others you will probably just have to google and call directly.

I don't know anything about financial requirements in the parks. The "10 year" requirement is usually in RV parks that style themselves as vacation or resort parks, but the requirement also has to do with a fear of owners abandoning older RVs that aren't worth much and the RVs becoming a liability for the park. I've also seen limits on exterior furniture and tarps to keep the RV sites looking nicer.
