Not as much as you might think. Newport and north of there is a bit busier with tourist stuff, few more big box stores to go too in some towns. South of Newport things are unchanged or worse then they were before depending on the town.
What is your business going to be? If it's a shipping/receiving business, you want to be closer to I-5. If you're refinishing boat decks, you'll want to be near a town with a fleet of boats big enough to support you. If you're a hair dresser, selling Avon/Mary Kay, you'll need to find something else to do.
