Would love to consider possible retirement to OR coast, but concerned because I am sensitive to sustained low light conditions. Which OR coast communities, would offer the most days/hours of sunlight--least rain, fog, overcast conditions? Thanks!

There's no significant difference. It's a bit like asking for the cloudiest cities in southern Arizona. Brookings in the south is probably the sunniest with 236 cloudy days a year. Astoria, on the northern, coast, has about 240 cloudy days on average. If you are at all sensitive to low light conditions, you do not want to live on the West Coast north of San Luis Obispo County. I would look at Arizona and New Mexico.

I'm not being sarcastic or negative. I'm just saying you won't get much sun anywhere on the Oregon coast. If you have SAD (seasonal affective disorder) as I do, the Oregon coast is definitely not the place for you. You would regret it. You would hate it.
