Will be picking up my Dad today and would like to take him to a neat place for lunch. Anywhere around John Wayne Airport and south of there. Looking for a place that meets the above requirements having trouble thinking of anything right now!
Thanks

You may want to check out Gullivers. Not the cheapest, but nice food right across the street from the airport. Great prime rib. Not sure if they're open for lunch though

Ruth Kris?

The Crab Cooker in Newport.

Rubys diner on the Balboa pier.

Bieroporetties at South Coast Plaza

Memphis (near the anti mall on Bristol street).

Zoobies in costa mesa if it is still there.

Gulliver's has creamed corn to die for! But not an inexpensive place.....

We love Memphis......if there are more than 2, lemme know. Coldjensens......(the other one is in they artsy district in Santa Ana)...

Laguna doesn't have a lot of reasonably priced restaurants..(just a handful)....hope you had a nice time, AK....

is Memphis a Cuban restaurant? I have heard of the one in Costa Mesa. I have been to Habana in Costa Mesa which was pretty good but prices aren't great. For Cuban might as well go to Felix's in Orange we did have a nice time, thanks!

Default Best food!

The Veggie Grill in Irvine is AWESOME!!! Just go straight from John Wayne exit airport turn right on any street then left on Campus...straight shot down Campus across University and on the left by the theater and Trader Joe's!

Try the southwestern Chik'n sandwich with sweet potato fries!

We've been to Bad to the Bone in San Juan twice in the last week...took company there over the weekend and everybody loved it.....it's got that smokey-bbq smell when you walk in....mmmmmmm! I didn't see any fried green tomatoes, but they do have sweet potato fries and fried okra! (Lucille's off of El Toro has fried green tomoatoes, but that place is wayyyyyyy toooooo loud).....
