Hi Im going to be moving to Costa Mesa from Hemet in a month or two. Just wondering how are the people out there? I mean am I going to be able to make friends pretty easily? Im 21 years old, female. Im a little shy but alot of fun once I get comfortable. I guess Im just looking for some positive feedback to help with my anxiety about the move. Any other insight about the area??? Thanks!

not a bad area, east side has a Newport Beach influence, west side is more or less hispanic. Some areas can get a bit rough.

Grew up around the area and still live in HB. Costa Mesa is awesome! If your into nature at all, the Talbert nature preserve is a 600 or so acre park with awesome trails. The neighborhoods (if you pick the right ones, some can be kinda shady), are awesome. Newport and Huntington Beach are a stones throw away. Plus since your 21 you will enjoy the awesome beach culture of those cities plus Newport has a plethora of pretty cool bars. All in all, friendly people, awesome weather, and a great atmosphere.

You will love Costa Mesa! The people here are nice and you won't have a problem fitting in. Do you know what part you are going to live in? Good luck!
