a few days ago (those who get only broadcast channels will know this)

WOWT went from analog to digital

and the PBS station on 26 went from analog to digital

therefore

what is your take on Omaha's broadcast tv stations and the digital conversion thing that happened last week and will be official in June 2009.

also 2 questions:

1. anyone else think it is time that the news in Omaha be in HD

2. when is KMTV channel 3 going to finally get a sub-channel

I mean WOWT has a olympic sub-channel

KETV has a 24 hour weather channel

PBS 26 has 2 sub-channels

Fox 42 has My Network tv

CW 15 has some spanish channel

KMTV 3 has no sub-channel

I've been employed at all levels of the media (including theirs) and lived all over the U.S.

Pure amatuers announcers...embarrassing to watch, but still good for a laugh.

you want bad news shows?

kxvo aka CW 15 a few years ago had the worst news show of all time

with some failed singer named geiler's brother who thinke he is a comedian

it was cringe worthy. thankfully the show died in 2007 from poor ratings.

I laugh my butt off all the time watching out local news. I especially love Rob M from KETV's jokes. You can just tell he's sitting there thinking, "wtf are they making me say". HAHA, it looks painfull with the akward smiles and mildly retarded quips....

Yes, definitely a good laugh.

Bill Randby at KETV has told some bad jokes too

remember last year when he jokingly told High school kids to play hooky cause of the good weather

that is a great link.

BtW:

wowt dont need a high school cribs

dont channel 17 on cox have a cheesy high school show called WTV

and of course the OPS wannabee of that show called the O-Zone

as for Travis Justice

he is the KMTV version of

Stu Pospisil aka Stewie of the Omaha World Herald

(Stewie BTW is NOT a creighton prep grad, but a Omaha Benson High grad. He wishes he graduated from Creighton Prep)

and Tom Shatel of the Omaha World Herald

(i.e. a sports junkie who is at times full of himself when it comes to reporting on sports)
