Default ..

It's tough to say, there are many good districts..

And OPS is as good as any, but OPS looks bad because it is the ONLY school district to cover a couple of struggling areas of the city..

With that said, OPS is a very good school system, you just have to look at them individually..

Depends on what you measurement is and what your needs are. The metro area is very lucky to have the high quality of schools it does... even the worst of all of them (by whatever measure) is still a good school. If forced to choose one over the other it would probably be a Millard, Elkhorn or PLV district... just because my kids went through it and I know quite a bit about it my vote would be Papillion/LaVista.

All in all, I'd go with Millard, Elkhorn, Papillion-Lavista, District 66 (Westside), Ralston (has won a few awards as well as millard), If you go with OPS there are a few high-profile schools here that includes Central (near mid-town/downtown and is diverse but is highly awarded academic and recognized athletic high-school), I need to do more research of the OPS schools, but recogize the opportunities given just like what Dave said..

I'll find out more here..

Yeah OPS is probably still better than the average school district, but not the best in the City.

I think that MIllard is the best in the city but I went to ops for my 6th grade year and they dont learn thing as quick, millard is 2 years ahead of ops. BBut ops is still better than the average school district.
