Hi- I'm flying to Omaha for a job interview on Monday and if things go well I will be looking to move to Omaha within the next three weeks. I Was just wondering what the opinions are of Omaha from people that have moved there from other states? What do you like about it? What don't you like about it? Places to stay away from? Places you should see or go etc... I have only been in SoCal for about 6 years and I love the state but the economic situation here is about the worst in the nation with unemployment at an all time high.
The three states I've spent the most time in before California was Utah, Colorado & Texas.
I did live in Grand Island & Central city Nebraska as well as a few desolate areas of Kansas when I was very young so I don't have to much recollection of it.
Looking forward to responses!

You will love Omaha it's a great city I am a native born and raised. I was in the retail business for 25 years and traveled to a lot of good cities but Omaha has them all beat. Now that I have fond my calling in real estate I couldn't say enough good things about it. It's a big small town.
