blimpie's is looking for a new location in that area

KFC bought Arbys because they really wanted a lot on Dodge Street. I have not heard if they will build a new location in the area.

Oh, I will and I'll let yelp know as well.

I consider myself a bit of an expert in chinese style food. I have eaten at almost every chinese resuraunt in omaha (and most are only soso).

Just got back from The Great River Buffet (the Chinese restaurant on saddlecreek). Overall I'd give it 3 out of 5 (3.5 if you REALLY push me). The food was mostly ok, but not done in the Chinese method of balanced taste. Some things where too sweet(the broccoli chicken and the coconut shrimp stand out) and others too salty (mushroom pork), nothing really reached a true balance. The Lo mein, while not cold, was no warm at all. It also tasted very heavy of sesame oil to the point it was inedible. They also had problems keeping the buffet stocked, which was bad as it was even 1/3rd full. I never once was the crab legs stocked and I was there for 45 minutes. The price to me seemed a bit high, but not bad these days at $12 and change for a meal and a soda.

If I was in the area and hungry I might try them again, but I will never ride my bicycle all that way again just for their food.

Off to yelp next to give a thrashing.

I made it a 2 on yelp as a 3 on yelp would indicate I would try them again. They are off my list of restaurants to eat at and on the 'if there is no other choice' list. As I said, their food was not that bad, just not what I expect from Chinese style cooking. Only thing that was inedible was the Lo mein. The rest tasted good, it just was imbalanced.

Next time I'll just visit the stockyards plaza and go to The Great Dragon. Or there is always China taste on 36th and Harrison (Small and dingy little place, but good food).
