Hey all! My son is completing boot camp and will be graduating the first part of April. I need info on hotels in the area. We need to find a good hotel close by Fort Sill, and any good tips y'all can give us about the area! Thanks in advance!

There are a group of Hotel/Motels just off the turnpike very near the base that have good reviews. (And I wouldn't be afraid to try! LOL) All are about 3 miles from the entrance to the base and have easy access to the HWY.

Personally I would avoid any on NorthWEST Gore Blvd. Although it is a bit closer and there MAY be a decent one in the bunch, most look VERY seedy and have bad reviews.
We have never stayed at any of them but we do go into the area for shopping and dining. There are a few places to eat not far from the motels I listed (including a Cracker Barrel restaurant that we loved!

Kats! Omigosh, I miss seeing you around! Plus, my husband lives in Lawton and works at Ft Sill now LOL. No more advice than what Robyn already gave you about hotels, but...you should take him to get a Meers burger to celebrate! They have a site online so you can check them out - not far from Lawton

Try the "La Quinta" just opened the past summer, very nice and new.

Personally I would avoid any on NorthWEST Gore Blvd. Although it is a bit closer and there MAY be a decent one in the bunch, most look VERY seedy and have bad reviews.
He sounded very upbeat though, and seems to be doing very well!
