Well, it is very warm here in Pensacola--60s for the low and into the upper
70s during the day. But it is verrry humid! I have not heard how things are around Grand Lake. My renters in the lake house have propane and appear to be warm.

I'll take an ice storm over a hurricane any day. We were lucky this year--Thank the Lord. I pray that people will have the good sense to stay off the roads up there. But some have to work and get out--so travel mercies to them.

Sometime in 2009 I hope to be up there and living at the lake. You all take care of yourselves and be thankful that there are so many kind people in Oklahoma that are willing to help each other out. God Bless.

Stillwater, luckily for the most part escaped the ice storm. Hardly any power outages. The ice didn't pile up on trees anywhere near as bad as it did in Midwest City and Norman. My heart and prayers go out to those who haven't fared as well through this awful storm.

I used to live in Pensacola area, actually Milton. A hurricane came our way one year and we drove to a motel. A second one was coming and we moved to Texas. I will take an ice storm any day too.

Hey Folks,

Hope all y'all are doing okay.

It looks like all the regulars I know here, with the exception of GP
seem to have power, and he may just be busy hopefully.

OK and the neighboring states are all over the news up here.

I'm glad most of you are well, our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

M.

I would take an ice storm over a hurricane, or an earthquake.

I worry about the elderly people in OKC and Tulsa. I hope people remember to check on their neighbors.

Default Oklahoma on my mind....

Just a quick note from an Ohioan to let you know you are in my thoughts & prayers as well. The ice can be beautiful, but causes so much destruction. I hope the warm-up is gradual, not to quick, since quick thaws cause more outages too. (I had some experience with this a few years ago when I worked for an electric cooperative.)

Keep your chins up

Checked on friends last night. Folks on Air Depot in Midwest City had just gotten power on. The friends 4 miles SE of Tinker AFB (in SE OKC) had no power and don't know when it will be on. All their trees - pines, blackjacks and one massive catalpa - are badly damaged. On the other hand, my cousins north of Edmond are fine - power on and just a little ice.

Peggy, Remember when TS Erin paid us a visit earlier this year? I still have that radar image saved as one of my favorites... THAT one got our meteorologists excited!

Not too far up though... it's pouring rain now, wouldn't want to drown.

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. *HUGS* Back atcha.

I'm sure the others will appreciate it too. (as soon as they get power restored)

Goodpasture, hope things your way are O.K.
